David’s first experience with real estate started as an assistant property manager for his mother, who owned a boutique property management company in Hollywood during 1990s.
By the mid-1990s, he was collecting rents, interacting with tenants, and generally helping to supervise very large buildings in Hollywood, Los Feliz and Koreatown.
In 2002, at 20 years old, David began investing in Echo Park real estate, and within a few years owned several smaller income properties in the area. His first building was a four-plex located at 1157 Bellevue Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012, which he purchased as a first-time homebuyer with FHA financing in Echo Park, Los Angeles with a sizable cash advance from his Wells Fargo credit card.
In 2005, he obtained his California real estate license (number 01511588), formed a realty team called “BRE Investment”, and started to specialize in selling homes and smaller income property in Silver Lake and Echo Park. Through this experience, he learned the ins and outs of buying and selling real estate professionally.
In 2007, David was hired as a commercial property portfolio manager for Fred Leeds Properties. He supervised 3 large commercial properties near Downtown LA, in Westlake, CA. The properties including “City View Lofts” and the “Wilshire-Union Center” (which has the Home Depot, Food4Less, RiteAid, Starbucks, McDonalds, among others). Through this amazing experience, he became very interested in commercial real estate.
In 2009, David decided to sell larger income properties on the Eastside and joined Marcus & Millichap Los Angeles. His first apartment building listings were a 5-unit on Echo Park Avenue in Echo Park, and a 30-unit SRO on Wright Street in DTLA.
While a broker at M&M, David was awarded both the 2009 National Rookie of the Year Award and the 201o National Pace Setter for sales volume. Obtaining one is difficult, obtaining both is nearly impossible.
In 2013, David incorporated BRE Investment, LLC and joined KW Commercial in Los Angeles. While at KW, he have helped recruit, train and supervise over 200 active agents at the DTLA office and over 500 active agents at the Silicon Beach office.
As a Realtor, he has partnered with some of the most well-known real estate firms in LA County, and he was a top-performing Echo Park Realtor at each of them. Here’s a quick snapshot of his experience:

Our office’s style and location were great for our team’s growing leasing, management and sales groups in Silver Lake and Echo Park.
